Paled lights
reflected in Dead Seas—
only Spirits linger.
Paled lights
reflected in Dead Seas—
only Spirits linger.
Silence—
the noise that follows
After.
Shuttered roar.
Beyond wet panes,
green world quivers.
Sleepless night.
Soft sweat of dawn’s light
Breaks my dreams.
Growled destruction.
Asphalt breaks in haze-light,
as my dreaming.
Summer sunlight.
We wake like all the rest—
Slanted morning.
Summer drips
feathers swim circles
through wavy skies.
Brown summer plains roil
It blooms in thundered breathing
Just a rasping—life.
It is dew I drink
Mere drops of her spirit fall
Yet it is all world.
Silent morning springs
the rain’s gentle kiss nothing
to the loss of you.
